problem is...rappers don't got no story worth hearing. The drug dealers do
100%
You need a hard knock life story come up. That is why a lot of rappers fabricate they struggled.
Eminem exaggerated the hell out of his come up story, same with Biggie, You right no one wants to listen to some insincere angle of world peace because the particular rapper does not have a good come up story like most conscience rappers back in the day. The struggle and being tough and withstanding it makes a good story a good artist.
Different being from the hard knocks and glorifying selling drugs. A lot of rappers sold drugs. Lord Jamar sold drugs it is not a skill set. In our culture it is what it is though, and the angle is too lob sided no balance of nothing nice. Hiphop is over 50 years old supposed to have helped racial harmony according to the rappers and the hiphop media but there are young ones like in their teens and early twenties mad racist and use the N-word and point their fingers saying rap/blacks are hooligans and uneducated animals while blasting some hiphop sh1t speaking in hiphop dialect.
One quick stroll on WSHH and it is hard to defend the sh1t. These rappers today are antagonists and sh1t is too much.
