I'm gonna do some research and look around, but as I understand it, military in general, NG in particular, may be better trained than local police, by which I mean training in de-escalation, not so jumpy, etc.

The crime was decreasing before Trumps actions because DC has passed laws in the past couple of years to better help fight crime. But there pandemic crime surge was unreal
