I was the biggest Hit Squad and Def Squad fan out of anyone I knew during their run.

The breakup was so messy between E and Parrish. There was a lot going on behind the scenes that people still kinda have trouble being honest about it. So a doc would be cool, but it might be lacking a lot of what really happened between those two. Erick was able to flourish even more after the breakup, and it seemed like the whole industry sided with him after. Parrish had a lot of trouble staying afloat after EPMD was done. Das was the only group f*cking with him, apart from Mobb Deep doing a quick couple features with him just because they had beef with Red and Keith, lol.

Back in Business was cool, but I always felt like the chemistry was pretty much done by then. Erick was kinda doing Parrish a favor by doing that, especially after all the shady sh*t P was doing back when the group was first together. Erick and Red took off crazily after '92, and then when Keith joined the next year, Def Squad and all the side affiliates and projects were all dope. Hit Squad pretty much died once EPMD was done the first time.
