I think someone suggested it'd be counter-intuitive to "real" discussions taking place. The dap button certainly didn't negatively affect anything.

a dislike feature will not stop people from discussing,,,if anything it gives folks a reason to enter seemingly booboo threads.,,i know i would click on nearly all topics if i could hit gahbage posts with a dislike + neg combo...
