So Black people shouldn't be impressed by two black men who overcame cac racism and obstructionism to become two of the most successful men in American History?

They should instead be impressed by plumbers and mechanics? :mjpls:

And I get what he's saying but that's a terrible example, he should instead say that they should stop idolizing street culture because it's self destructive.

Having a stable two parent households would largely remedy this issue.

A girl being raised by a single mom will not have a good example of what the average black male looks like and will thus over index on what’s shown to her via the media. Athletes, Rappers, etc.

Likewise with small black boys who grow up in single parent households. They will see via media what girls are attracted to and over index on those personas.

Idol worship is a bi-product of lack of stable family units.
