Xbox legit dead? Someone fill me in.
Big retailers like Walmart, Sam's Club and Costco not selling or restocking Xbox consoles.

Halo, Gears and Forza are on PS5. Halo and Gears dropping the same day as the Xbox version.

Gamepass raised the price by 50%. Only the top tier service gives you day and date 1st party games. Top tier costs $360 per annum.

Xbox lost $300m putting COD day one in Gamepass.

Xbox consoles have gone up by 30%. A Series X costs 100-150 more than it did at launch.

So it's not dead. But its on life support, waiting for the plug to be pulled.

Not really.
NCAA Football online isn't going anywhere, I'm sure.
Red Dead Redemption, despite it being a Dead world game with NO updates planned for it, still has Online function working, 'cause I'm playing it right now.
And all your other games on there will work, same as always.
These guys in here REALLY hate Xbox/Microsoft hence the general tone of their posts, but if you're just waking up, playing a limited amount of games and interested in the odd multiplat or one off game, you aren't in danger of anything, being a consumer.
Xbox as a console is limbo, Microsoft as a gaming company has been making some very stupid moves in terms of said customers, but it's not like as if you'll wake up one morning and your Xbox won't work because "Sony won.", breh.
The most I can say is that if you rely on Gamepass, you'll have to move different. I'm queued up until the middle of next year with no plans to keep copping Ultimate at the trumped up price. I've got a pretty sizeable backlog of games and I'm gonna tackle that, while sticking to my 'buy on sale' method of getting anything new unless it's a must have day 1 play. I'd contemplate copping a 1 month CD key if a day 1 Gamepass exclusive hits the market, but other than that, I'm hibernating, game wise and seeing what becomes of Gamepass in terms of pricing, since alot of people have cancelled in protest or gone down a tier so that will prolly affect their stance on the price hike, but that's left to be seen.
The only major problem I can see you having is trying to re-buy the console; a thing I almost had to do since apparently the fan in my Series X has a damaged motherboard doo-hickey that doesn't cause it to spin anymore and Microsoft raised the price of the consoles in stores. But stores are also supposedly liquidating stock, so you could prolly cop for cheap if you know where to go. I bought an external 15 dollar fan and kept it pushing, though since that's a good enough fix for the overheating problems I was having.
You good breh, trust.

Too add on to breh above.

It doesn't mean anything, infact for folks like yourself you probably will see more benefits and options than anything.

It's why I don't like how a certain fan base moves, they'll make it seem like someone with a different system than them needs to drop what they have and get what they got.

It's like iPhone fans telling Google Pixel fans how they aren't really competing in the phone business because they aren't as popular.

:mjlol:

"Might as well stop making phones"
"They don't even sell pixels at my electronic store"
"Can your pixel use this app"
