Gus has gotten exposed. These DC's have figured him out. I'm not going to go in on him 24/7. But this dude is stubborn and he does't change anything. I'm sure he knows this could be his last season, so i hope he changes his approach on how to coach this team

His ego is bruised... and like you said, he is stubborn..... even Sabah had to switch it up, so why Gus doesn't think he has too is baffling...

Also, he misfired on quarterbacks 4 years in a row.... that's almost unforgivable for an "offensive genius"

The defense will be there and the offensive pieces are there. We don't have the big 6'4" receiver going in but we have enough there to be able to produce.


Yep, it's all on how Gus manages from now through next season.

Rhett Lashlee leaving was to make sure Gus doesn't have anymore excuses next year. Other than a whole lot of unfortunate injuries, all of the blame will be on him next year.

They're big but they're around 6'2"......I'm talking that NFL body like what just helped beat Alabama in the national title game....And let's be real, unless our quarterback is playing like a superstar and one of the top quarterbacks in the country, then our chances aren't good at winning the SEC and getting into the playoffs. That's just what's needed with this type of offense, and at that level. Bama lost because their quarterback wasn't ready for the stage, but Clemson also had a superstar quarterback that took the shots (because Bama was trying to kill him) and still made the game changing plays....

Players like that are the difference between losing and winning when you're having bad games like Auburn did with Clemson and Georgia

No official word yet. Auburn already said nobody from Briles' family will be hired tho

that has been the word around town, with Jake Spavital ( :snoopsmh: ) as backup consideration

I thought with the presumption that Gus would hire whoever at OC to run their offense with no interference that Auburn would take a strong look at the Briles, but fukk it I guess. I really dont understand why they wouldn't at least pursue Kendall, these are two dudes with complete knowledge of your presumed starting QB. It isn't like Art actively knew about the rape culture either, he completely separated that side of the game from his actual job.

I just don't want to hire some tier 2 ass nikka when we are in need of a splash hire that will be tasked with replacing an entire dumbed down mini playbook with an actual 2017 offense.
