Have you noticed there are no more powerhouse vocalists in the male R&B category? The women are holding it down with Fantasia, Jasmine Sullivan, Marsha Ambrosious, Lalah Hathaway, Ledisi...and so on. But I dont hear many current R&B males who are vocally at that level. I think the Weezy, Drake, Kanye, 3 Stacks, Future,and the rest have lowered the vocal bar and made it easy for cats like The Weeknd, Frank Ocean Trey Songz to make it in the game. If this were the 90's when you had cats like Gerald Levert, Luther Vandross and Johnny Gill on the scene these young cats would be getting laughed out the building....
