Head Coach Doug Marrone announced this afternoon that QB EJ Manuel has an LCL sprain that does not require surgery. He is expected to return in a few weeks.
Manuel was
injured on a scramble to the near sideline in the red zone when the Bills were trying to break a 17-17 tie midway through the third quarter. He was knocked out of bounds with a submarine tackle by Tashaun Gipson.
His knee whipped back and to the side after the hit and Manuel immediately clutched his right knee. Fortunately it’s not the same knee he injured in Buffalo’s preseason game that kept him out for a couple of weeks.
