Kissland vs. Channel Orange goes to the latter imo. Kissland wasn't very good, but some people have found a way to rate it rather high. Still I don't think they'd put it over CO. I think The Weeknd can definitely come out with something that beats it, but if we're excluding his classic mixtapes then I'd have to say he hasn't produced anything better than it as of right now.

Man... those "mixtapes" were full fledged projects. Each had a unified theme, a cohesive sound, original tracks, and professional mixing and mastering.

Just cause they were released for free don't mean shyt... especially now that most albums are available to stream for free on multiple platforms.

Kiss land doesnt have any lyrics about Forrest being buff and strong, so I'll go with that one

Channel Orange is pretty forgettable outside of Pyramids and a couple other tracks. Kiss Land is trash though.

Weeknd's last album was solid. My only problem was that there are a few tracks that clearly seem like they were bought. IE shyt that any artist could have done but Weeknd's label bought and gave to him.

Kissland was dope imo but Channel Orange is better front to back no homo

Kissland starts and ends really well but some of the middle tracks are sort of boring (adaptation, belong to the world)

Finishing on Wanderlust-Kissland-Pretty-Tears in the Rain is :ohlawd:

But Thursday? Echos of silence?

Come on breh...

I don't think the Weeknd is touching Frank Ocean's songwriting. But those mixtapes are albums.

Channel Orange and both Weeknds official albums are light with a few great high points.
leaning towards Channel Orange but i would need to go back to KissLand before i gave a final answer.

has a Weeknd album soundtracked a whole episode of Gossip Girl though ?
