Jay Z’s has been pulling out all the stops to make sure his music streaming service Tidal is a success. We’ve seen exclusive video content, special Tidal X concerts, and certain tracks that are only available to subscribers of the service. Yesterday, Lil Wayne dropped an exclusive track for Tidal users called Glory, which will be featured on his upcoming Free Weezy Album.
Well it appears Tunechi’s release of this latest track was part of an even bigger move, as it was announced that he will be joining Hov and company as a co-owner of Tidal. With this latest move, Jay Z adds another popular artist to his roster that includes heavy-hitters like his wife Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Daft Punk, Jack White, Jason Aldean and Kanye West.
Lil Wayne will also be performing his own Tidal X concert, and like J. Cole’s Tidal X concert and Jay Z’s B-Side’s Concert, it will only be available to stream for Tidal users.
“Tidal is a great way to share music directly with fans. I’m hyped for people to hear my latest track and can’t wait to show fans love through a special Tidal X.” — Tunechi
