RnB is dead, but this video does not explore that subject. It talks about something else.

Clickbait.

I'ma say it, talking specifically mainstream: too many non-blacks folks making the beats and/or too many black folks trying to cater to a non-black audiences.

Dancing is shamed.
Catering to a woman is shamed.
Being a "pretty boy" is shamed.

A lot of that shyt goes right into making a generational r&b star on top of a good voice.

Additionally, look at what people are doing with hip-hop: calling it "boring" to transform it into a variation of screamo rock-trap to be "innovative".

Pi'erre should produce and songwrite more R&B to be honest. I think dude gets the vibe right:

Everyone will just label it "simp music" though and that's exactly why the genre is hurting.

In other words:

Where is dancing shamed? Nikkas been dancing like a muthafukka breh:pachaha:

To the Pierre point I agree and he's very underrated. I also think Tyler The Creator is the best R&B producer alive but hasn't taken over the game like he could because he only focuses on his own albums

Ever since the Rihanna episode , Chris Brown cant get a break
He's gotten more breaks than many would to be honest

Even considering the Rhianna shyt Chris more than bounced back but most of his issues are of his own doing
