I never made the connection until now that he was Dr Daystrom on Star Trek.

In another life he probably is James Earl Jones status in terms of getting bigger roles and being known for his voice/presence.

THAT's the voice! I've been hearing Marshall's voice off and on for years and kept hearing "noboooodddyyy knooooowwwwsss the troubles I've seeeeen..." in my head.
