Finest film of the last 20 years.

A masterpiece in every single way.

As much as I loved No Country, this should've won the Oscar.

It's storytelling at it's most cinematic. Grandiose , epic, full of layers and depth, but beyond that incredibly entertaining. DDL's performance might be the pinnacle of on screen acting.

And PTA is so talented it actually make's me sick :scusthov:

If he ain't better than Kubrick, he's the closest one. :whew:

Paul Thomas Anderson is one of the most technically efficient directors ever. From the first frame to the last, every camera movement, every object or character position, it is simply impeccable. Scorsese and Kubrick are his only competition when it comes to framing a shot.

I agree with everything you said except I have No Country above it :skip:

I own both of those classics, though. Daniel Day in TWBB is slightly>his performance in Lincoln.
