DeMar was an anchor on this team's pace, goodness
I lost my shyt every time we'd have a lineup that wanted to run and Demar would call for the ball and hit the :whoa:

I wonder if there are any splits out there for the team pre/post Lonzo that one year. One of the plusses with Zo was that he kept things moving, with him gone it became a lot of your turn my turn with Zach and Demar.

Why did we rush to sign this guy prior to his current deal ended despite him only playing like 70 total games in his 4 seasons here???

You're really making more out of this than anyone else. They signed him and can trade him later now that he's on a 10M a year contract vs a 20M a year/expiring.

There is no incentive for him to rush back and play right now considering the team's depth at PG. It's his wrist anyway, if this was the knee, then that would be different.

it's his shooting wrist. the same one that cost him 15 games early in the season, and when he came back, he's been unable to shoot ever since. so this lingering wrist injury that's cost him over 25% of the season is something to be concerned about. they had no reason (just like with p-wil) to give him a new deal before his current one expired.

I just explained the play. Either choose to understand it or not.

Lonzo Ball with 2 years for 20M with injury protections and a team option in year 2 is more valuable in a potential trade than he was on his expiring. The Bulls are not going to drop out of the Play-In and their guards are playing well, they're obviously going to try and make the playoffs and would rather Lonzo be available then. If they don't make the playoffs... then who cares anyway

dude's who play 70 total games in 4 seasons don't have value. they could have resigned trey jones to a comparable deal and it'd have more value.

the bulls have no more roster spots once they sign whomever they draft. so they are NOT gonna re-sign trey unless they dump a guard.
They'll make moves obviously. Point still stands, if they want to keep Tre Jones, they can. If this is the off-season that they start actively building around Giddey after signing him, it's even more obvious that they'll move off of some of these guards and make decisions on who they want to move forward with and who they don't.
