Thinking back on it, I never did understand what happened at the end of the trilogy.

The merovingians in history are descendants of jesus supposedly but in the trilogy he is like satan. He collects programs scheduled for deletion like the devil collects souls and they work for him more or less.

I always wanted and official backstory on him since he claimed to have met the other "ones"

:ohhh: that's some deep shyt bruh. right on

Ok: The architect and the oracle are both programs...the architect is the "father" of the matrix and the oracle is the "mother" and unlike the other programs who created the matrix or at least existed in the matrix, the oracle understood human emotion and human behavior, understood how to motivate them and understood what they needed; she understood the concept of free will where the other programs did not. The programs are extensions of the "machines" who built the matrix and the architect's role is to provide the one (neo) with the choice he will have to make: Either go through one door and it will lead to war or go through this other door and it will lead to the cycle starting all over again, with Neo gathering enough people to repopulate the new Matrix after the old one is destroyed.

The job of the Oracle is to lead the one (Neo) down the path that will show him the choice is his to make and that he isn't just a function of control and can make his own destiny. The "dangerous game" the architect referred to at the end of revolutions was the way the oracle let herself be taken over by Smith and assumed Neo would make a deal with the machines to broker peace. She then asks him if the others will be freed, referring to the people in the matrix who want out and want to be "unplugged" and the architect tells her that they will be and assures her they will be since he isn't human and cannot lie or go back on his word

so basically i just need you to break down what exactly became of ne-yo, did he essentially return the matrix's original code and thus the matrix itself was started over with some people allowed 2 be unplugged, what was the difference between the old matrix and the new one at the end of revolutions ???

Neo's code got written over in the Matrix when he let Smith assimilate him. But since he was plugged in to the machine mainframe, the machines got a hold of Smith's code and destroyed it. Once that happened, the machines fulfilled their end of the bargain and granted peace between us and them.

As far as the differences between the new matrix and the old one, the ONLY one I could see since they didn't really explain it, was sunlight. If you remember from the three movies, anytime they were in the matrix, there was always a certain hue to the daylight and while the sun was out it wasn't bright, it was always just a cloudy day. Once peace was brokered, the sun shone bright and more than likely, there would be less control in this version of the matrix and we truly would be allowed to make our own choices

Granted some of the action scenes and story plot scenes were alot less interesting than the first matrix, but plot wise and as far as answering questions and a complete resolution, do you think the matrix did a good job overall?????
looking back i only really liked The Martix Reloaded. the other ones were decent to shytty to me.
