Were you ever the gamer at the arcade that people lined up to challenge?

What game were you the master at and what was the longest line you ever had to face you? I never was that skilled back in the day but always admired the cats that dropped nikkas to the back of the line.

Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, everybody and their mama tried to challenge me in that game, mind you this was around when Deadly Alliance dropped for the PS2 so that game been out for a minute. Spent all day at the arcade taking down anybody who would tried to challenge me (was playing as Sub-Zero), until my biology teacher came in with his wife and kid.... straight murdered me with Kabal.

Tekken Tag Tournament was another one, I had a good team with Heihachi and Baek. I was good at that game, but I took a few Ls from time to time. So, last year I get deployed to Korea, had a good fukking time doing karaoke (those Koreans ain't know what hit them, especially when we sung that Aaliyah track "Are You That Somebody" and I got to do Timbaland's rap "I'm the man from the big VA ... anyhow back to the story) so in that place was an arcade with a whole bunch of old games, and Tekken Tag was one of them. So I got my team, started taking down every sailor who challenged me, then a Korean marine challenged me. I said ok, so it was a best of 5... I won two, then he won two. So on the last round, the bytch started doing some shyt with Angel that I've never seen in my fukkin life. Kicked my ass... I was so mad. But it was a great experience though.

But I was that nikka that people looked on in awe at like I just came from Iraq when I was catching bodies flawlessly in Time Crisis and Crisis Zone...

I dead ass thought every female passing by was like, "Wow, I wish I had him protecting me."

Especially if I just came out of watching an action movie...

I remember putting one dollar in the machine after coming out of the first Matrix movie

People crowding around like, "Does this nikka even get hit?"

nikkas with 4 coins burning in their hand mad because the other gun was broken...

Or because I selecting single player because I wasn't looking for a side kick

Then getting off the machine after playing Damn near through the whole game on 1 dollar...

Walking out looking at the cute ass manager like , "Yea, I just did that."


Meanwhile every body watching me was probably like, "Lame ass nikka"

But you couldn't tell me shyt

Yea, MK2. I was that dude with Shiva. I think I held the line back for 30 minutes one time before finally getting knocked off.

Even better though is when you finally knock that dude off the hill.

No but I was always the dikk that wanted to play 2 times in a row. This nikka on Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 was killing everybody, and I wanted to go twice LOL. People in line were like I was like . Dude beat me pretty easily both times

In the arcades where I grew up u would be beat up by the whole line up. Anhow I ain't been to the arcade since Michael Jackson moonwalked was out and the first mortal kombat lol. shyt was crazy back then.

Nah but when I first came to college dorms (Sophomore year) they were playing Soul Calibur 2 I jumped on there with Kilik and started handing out whoopings I must beat about 20 nikkas before they got me off them sticks. They couldn't stop me mang but I wasn't able to parlay that into dorm fame

Harbourfront Centre here in Toronto had a SF2 cabinet back in the day. sometimes it'd glitch and allow free play so we'd be on it challenging kids all day. if they beat my Ryu, they'd face my brother's Zangief. with or without the free coins glitch, we'd be on it for hours without spending much money

Yup mvc2 and all the tekkens, Asians got work too, but I took L's from them too, nothing like having epic battle with them and them showing respect afterwards, had me feeling like ryu's ending in sf2
