i can sympathize with someone who started bangin in their teens...young people are impressionable so its easy to persuade them into the gang life...besides that most people i know who started bangin in their teens aren't really that active by time they get to their 20s...they still active but they not out there puttin in work

I can't front, Blackthoughts does have a point. I have been affiliated with people who were in gangs when I was down south and it's a slap in the face to see how they letting these rappers perpetrate for profits. Mind you I was only two states away from Cali and our gang scene was serious and we always respected Cali as the Mecca. But the thought of a Lil Wayne or a Chris Brown screaming some set really irks me. Not just from a gang perspective either but on some street ish or some criminal ish I'm not feeling this. I know yall got to eat but a line needs to be drawn with the gang signs, the colors and the profiling.

An artist can be successful without ever having to go to their label. In the days of Skype, Emailing and Fax Machines you tell me why an artist can't have a marketing meeting via Telepresence. Thank you. I thought the purpose of joining a gang was to be a part of something so prestigious to you that you were willing to get jumped in just to be down. Imagine a nikka that got his ass jumped in a set and got his eyes swollen or jaw broken or both to be down with the hood and then you see the leader of your set taking pictures with Chris Brown while CB is throwing up your hood without having to get jumped in or putting in any work for the set

As an artist you can be perfectly fine without ever stepping foot in L.A if your fanbase is loyal. A nikka can drop an album while on House Arrest and still move units if his fanbase is legit. You keep thinking everyone needs L.A though. The fact of the matter is nikkas love being in L.A for the weather women and the weed. That's why all them nikkas want to live there. Unless your an actor you can eat great without it.
