Imagine trying to build confidence and get in rhythm with a PG that shoots 1000 more shots than anyone else on the team. All season he's gotten you in involve for 3 qtrs in pursuit of his triple-double

Imagine being a big man trying to build up your career and value, but coach telling you to block out but don't grab the rebound, wait for Westbrook so he can get his triple-double

Imagine playing on a team with someone that can do no wrong. Westbrook makes horrible decision after horrible decision in the 4th but gets no blame, media makes it seem that it's better for the team that Westbrook go 4-18 then for you get any attempts

Dude is an absolute disaster as far as team chemistry, his talent do make up for some of it, but not enough. Westbrook is detrimental to a team in the 4th quarter. He goes straight retard. Kevin Durant knew it and got the hell out of there.

No superstar in their right mind would want to play with Westbrook or that system in OKC.

Imagine trying to build confidence and get in a rhythm after arguably one of the best players in the world leaves your team to go join the enemy

Imagine waking up knowing you're going to have to be the man for your team for the foreseeable portion of your career, but being told by your coach that he can't play one of your key players because his defense is absolutely trash

Imagine being on team that is expecting you to do everything, and the moment you do something wrong it all collapses on you, even though your ex teammate used to choke in clutch situations as well

His talent makes up for the absolute disaster that the team could have been in, but the role Westbrook and the organization has thrusted himself into has caused detriment to the team as a whole in the 4th quarter because he's the only one with adequate talent level to take over when needed to. His ex teammate had talent but he was called mr. Unreliable. By his own city.

No superstar in their right mind would want to forgive his ex teammate for thrusting him to literally be the system in OKC.

why are nikkas so blind man? you watch the game OP?

I can count exactly 6 times where they ran pick and roll and got abrines a wide open 3 pointer, he made 2 of em and thats the best shooter on the team.

Oladip could not drive or shoot this entire series and Roberson is alergic to offense. It was the same thing in the past with sefalosha, as long as the thunder continue to play 4 on 5 basketball it will be like this.

Nah breh.

When you elevate others, you elevate yourself. That's basic life shyt. I don't know why y'all fall into this love affair with the hero ball shyt. Even the guys who played hero ball to start their careers had to become more team oriented players to really start winning (Jordan, Kobe, Isiah).

Sometimes you gotta give up the duties to people who are less talented than you, and let them fail at tasks that you know you could've easily done on your own, because there's going to come a point when you're going to NEED them to help you with those tasks, and if you just wait until that point of course they're not going to be able to help you.

These are all NBA players out here. There's nobody on Oklahoma City or the league that doesn't have the ABILITY if given the right OPPORTUNITIES.

Nobody can convince me these guys that are "bums" and "can't do anything"s with the Thunder wouldn't be more contributing players if they were playing with LeBron, or playing on the Spurs, or playing within the Warriors system.

For what it's worth, I don't blame Westbrook for that really, I blame the coaching staff. Russell Westbrook shouldn't be your team's main decision maker, even if he's still the focal point of your offense.

Boogie Down my city...
I say this all the time, but people try to cape for dude. I said this last season. Russ is not your "in a clutch" man. Never has been. I think he does have an high ball IQ but he makes dumb decisions consistently really just because of ego/pride...I think that.

Random af: I listened to his interviews the last couple of days and laughed. I was like "This nikka behaves like a moody and egotistical Scorpio. Always snapping off." Looked up his bday. I was right. I guess I know myself well. :(

Russ plays hard and gives amazing effort. He's a great player......but dude has to be hell to play with. I was watching the game last night and Grant had a rebound/put back in his hands and Russ fought him for the rebound and essentially took points off the board. Oladipo sailed a pass into the stands trying to get the ball to Russ instead of just shooting an open jumper. Ultimately, this falls on Donovan's shoulders. He has to develop his team instead of allowing Russell to be "the team".

Westbrook and Cousins are untouchable on the Coli. Not a bad word can be said about these niccas...it's never THEIR fault. The Coli Defense Strategy goes as follows for Westbrook and Cousins...

*Blame the coach
*Blame the players
*Blame the Cacs

Shyt is as predictable as Russ losing his mind in a 4th quarter and doing some of the most asinine shyt on a basketball court.

He disrupts the rhythm to a degree but his teammates are just trash. KD had no problem getting his and people argue Russ is the same player now compared to when he had KD with him, right? If you're good then you get yours regardless.

Also, Steve Kerr once said how it's not easy to come in directly from the bench and hit shots right away as a bench player but if that's your job, you somehow make that work and earn your spot in the league. All great teams have reliable second option who can create offense regardless of context Russ doesn't have that.
