Russ is incredibly overrated but he's not the worst, he's actually very capable on that end when he isn't being a stat padding fakkit hunting rebounds.

Yeah, he's a freak. Should be a DPOY candidate with that level of athleticism. That's the only reason why people think he's a great defender he "looks the part".

He can be a VERY good defender when he's locked in ala Kobe. It shows up mostly in his younger years in the playoffs.

But like Kobe...half the time he doesn't give a shyt and is content at swiping at the ball as his man drives by OR giving up a wide open shot and immediately hunting for the rebound.

I'll give him a pass tonight cus Jokic held on to the ball for like 8 seconds before he threw it in. Nba be on some bullshyt sometimes.
