everyone needs to be busy busy busy. constant stimulation of the mind to avoid your own thoughts. you are no better than an alcoholic or a heroin junkie chasing the next high. you will do anything to avoid being alone with your own thoughts.

look around. this aint the way to freedom. this aint the way to happiness. this is the illusion of happiness.

Yes, industrialised society is devoted to squeezing as much productivity from each and every person as possible.
Welcome to Capitalism, nikka.
One the left we have conspicuous consumption.
On the right we have cultural norms dedicated to making you a better worker.
If you come down to the dungeon we have two famous prisoners Marx and Bakunin.
Don't feed them anything Red.

To touch on the VERY poignant video selection above!

"If you are lonely when you are alone, you are in bad company" JP Sarte

"A man that cannot walk alone is only half a man" Hunter S.

"All truly great thoughts are conceived by walking" Freddy Nietz (who was the most lonely person ever)

3 quotes I will live and die by

Slowly starting to believe that modern industrialized civilisation is the greatest con brought to mankind. We consume, extract, and destroy nature for what exactly? What is the end game?

It's crazy how people in 3rd world countries are happier than us. In the video I posted people are chilling in the Caribbean (not the white people but the locals too) all relaxed and shyt even though they don't have much money. Everything they eat they farmed themselves and get off the ground. One has to be envious of these people.

I'm definitely envious. My parents are from Ghana and I usually go once a year. Most of those people have high self esteem and their lives are surrounded by constant joy and laughter. Every time I leave I feel like crying. No wonder my parents go there 3 times a year. They will eventually move there.

Yeah my goal is to make as much money as possible in this depressive hellhole known as the USA, invest the money somehow, move to the Caribbean, and live off my investments. Only problem is my financial literacy isn't where it needs to be. I'm just now learning about mutual funds and ETFs.

Edit: Slightly off-topic but due to rising sea levels most Caribbean countries will be gone within 50 years. Le sigh....
