This leads into a conversation I had recently. Do you all still feel it’s possible to oversaturate in this age? I’ve noticed that a lot of the most successful independent artists release a lot of material often. Do you all think that is part of them gaining momentum without major backing?

:jbhmm:Parental Advisory label maybe it’s a new project or song

He said he had a surprise project coming in July. So I'd imagine this is either the cover art, or more likely IMO it's art for the first single.

I just say that because a lot of his singles use famous photographs or pictures of people in them, but when it comes to actual projects or mixtapes then the cover art is usually more artistic than just a photograph.

Given the parental advisory sticker though, it's definitely new music.

But some punk motherfukker who jacks off to porn in his mom's basement said Griselda were Burlington coat factory versions of the chef

Burlington don't even have coat factory in their names no more so he's probably some dusty old head

Very good question. I still believe it's possible to over-saturate. It's weird. I thought they were over saturating in 2017 and early 2018 and I got kind of sick of their music for a bit. But from late 2019 to now even though they've dropped a lot, I think a lot of it has been high quality and I haven't minded.

I'm torn between two halves. Half of me is always appreciative of dope music, even if it's coming out frequently from people I like to the point where I need to take a break. Especially during this stressful time we're living in. On the other hand, the purist in me thinks there's always something incredibly dope about people that drop an incredible project once every 12-18 months, and then fall back.

I do think there's something to be said for leaving people wanting more. It's always good to leave the fans satisfied, but not so full that they aren't hungry anymore. But then you gotta walk a fine balance to where they don't forget about you.

Tough call. I do think now that it's harder to make money in the industry that frequent drops can help as long as you don't burn your core fans out.

"Hall N Nash" 2... ?

Please.

:lupe:
I don't want to be a downer, but

A: He recently said on Instragram Live that he was looking at Friday, September 11th for Hall & Nas 2, as a way to honor New York City.

B: He said on the same live stream that he has a surprise project coming out in July, and that was after he talked about Hall & Nash 2.

C: I can't imagine a Hall & Nash 2 album cover being a Michael Irvin mugshot.

The only way I see this being Hall & Nas 2 related is if there's a song on hall & Nash 2 called Michael Irvin or something, which is very possible too.
