Even without social media, you could still say something. Em never even talked about his right hand man Proof's album when it dropped. Didn't give him a feature, not even a mixtape shout-out or anything... Only Bizarre got a feature and a beat from Em on his first album... Otherwise that was it. Em only really tried to push Obie and he didn't even know Obie that long.
I'm not of the mind than Em owes anyone from Griselda anything (despite everyone knowing I'm not an Em fan) but Em was definitely on the Proof album. I guess it was with D12 but he was on it.Even without social media, you could still say something. Em never even talked about his right hand man Proof's album when it dropped. Okay and how did that work out for Proof? The album flopped... Plus this post doesn't make sense since he still got 50 on his album when 50 was the hottest thing in hip hop. Proof clearly didn't care about that aspect. It's Em who doesn't seem to care. If you listen to Stepping Stones, Em even admits to not doing enough to help his boys succeed.
these dudes are insufferable you are only as big as your budget
they have a distribution deal with shady and are managed by roc nation
those are two completely separate things
I'm not surprised that people who throw shyt against the wall hoping it sticks dont know what a distribution deal is
budden may have been a little right about the way slaughterhouse was controlled song wise etc.... but you gotta realize these are two different situations. Griselsa is under distribution by Shady for the cosign and under the umbrella of eminem, they are distributed by Shady who has their back on printing and manufacturing supplies. Eminem doesn't control their songs at all.... its a "I got your back we got you" cosign
slaughterhouse was the same but more of a ... I'm kind of in your group to push it forward but not officially.... eminem was restructuring songs and trying to make the most profitable marketing for all 4 emcees... even if that wasnt the mold that worked best for them. They all went for it but Joe is more independent and didnt want to put his part in, when he could just make more money not being burdened by that shyt.
your manager and management gets you placements, that's roc nation. You could easily get your own billboards and ads on the internet instead of crying on twitter like Trump does. But realistically like D-Block, why would you promote regionally when your fans are all in the north east? The best plan they can take is bombarding ad placements online and getting placements on shows. I would tell them to put their tweets where the butter is, and place them in a setting they could crash and complain live. Like go on a broadcasted medium and literally say "I should be president of Def Jam" instead of just tweeting it...being outspoken only works when you actually mean it.
When time permits, can you please make a separate thread with all the information you blessed us with in this thread?

But ate you sure that Proof WANTED Em on his album? Maybe he wanted to be self sufficient and prove his own value.Even without social media, you could still say something. havent forgotten about this breh...been busy and I dont want to post something half ass, i want to do some more research and cite some sources so I can make it really informative.
I will also speak on how this has negatively effected WSG and Conway because now Benny is starting to cross over a bit with Burden of Proof. WSG was by far the most popular member and he is still wildly popular for an underground rapper but Benny has now shot past WSG and Con is still stuck in the same place
Con is reported on Spotify as having 572 monthly listeners
WSG over 1 mil
Benny over 1.3 mil
these numbers arent the end all be all but they certainly are telling. Con listeners are probably more inflated than that stat says because his 2nd most streamed song is the song with Dej Loaf....just over 900k. his most streamed song is....Bang w/Eminem with over 7 million streams. WSG and Benny dont have a song anywhere close to that. Benny song with Weezy and Sean over 3 mil. West has two songs pushing towards 3 mil.
This is just one DSP. Keep in mind Con and West have a lot more projects than Benny in the past two years. Benny wasnt as popular as them even after the release of TT3, it took some time. After Plugs he started to really warm up. I think the Shady affiliation was kinda holding them back whereas Benny didnt have as much pressure, which is why he didnt drop as much as they did. Now he has signed his distro deal with E1. So they are all Roc Nation management but Benny has different distro. He is getting the streams and the sales...whats the difference here?
Another fantastic post brehski!
Those Spotify figures are interesting....
Only Benny and Westside Gunn have a Roc Nation management deal, but in my opinion, Benny has done a great job of promoting and managing himself.
In my opinion, Westside Gunn and Benny should be wondering why management were not able to get either on the BET hip hops and both just released albums. Not one nomination at all.
Em is a stand up dude for not forcing them to use his beats

Why let a white person like Rosenberg or Eminem run your shyt? This is what Budden was trying to tell people.
He was for real surprised when he found out that Em is JUST a rapper lol, he's not gonna be doing much of the business stuff, that's really Paul's label. Imagine all of the comings and goings of Shady over the years if it was "Rosenberg records"![]()
Em aint out his original contract yet?Yep Royce has been saying that even Em himself is in a bad record contract (considering Em's financial condition at the time he signed, his deal is probably worst than Black Rob's). Cats been saying since sohh that Em is only the face of Shady, cats on here still fail to believe that
. Bizarre and Obie told me the same thing.
