I moved out when I was 19. My mom cried like a baby and my stepdad was like Call me when you get to Cali.

He probably cried after I left.

What's there not to get? Your parents love you so they'll be sad that they can't always see you...

I was thrown out when I was 18, half way through senior year, went to live with my friend, his Dad was a pilot, and never even noticed, and besides a few more months here and there, I was pretty much out since. But, i didn't really have my shyt together until I was almost 22, and there were no more stints at the parents/grandparents house.

When I went off to school at 18. No pressure either way, but I knew I had to go away for school and be immersed in an academic environment 24/7, otherwise I'd be too distracted at home and wouldn't get any work done.
