Ive been think that its time to start letting my money work for me... What are some good LEGAL investments people can start out with to get their feet wet?

I'm seeing a lot of chatter about investing from average joes.. That is always a bad sign. Honestly, I'd stay away from the market right now.

When people start talking about how the market is rigged or start crying about how they lost their retirement or can't feed their families because they so lost much money, THEN you start pouring money into the market. That's cold, but money is cold.
