What are some policies you think attack the poor outright?

I think all fines in general should be on a case by case bases. Otherwise you literally are just punishing someone for being poor. That’s the crime they actually committed.

A rich person will just pay it off no problem. That fine can set a poor person back months. Then he doesn’t pay now his license gets suspended. And the troubles just snowball.

I can’t really believe the city is that naive to expect many of the low income people in that community to pay all their tickets and boot fees in one call.
*stares in confusion * are you meaning to have a convo with yourself ? With that being said .. agreed.

Facts I just looked up the boot fees for nyc and I’m like damn that’s weeks of a families groceries right there in a poor area. But I see they do have payment plans so I guess that’s what they end up doing
