What are the best, affordable mattresses one could buy?

I desperately need a new bed. I don't know what mattress and bed I should cop. I know I want a queen, though. Any suggestions on mattress type/bed type?

I've had my bed for a while now so I don't know what's out there. I'm guessing posturepedic or tempurpedic or whatever they're called are still the standard. Might have to browse the internet. rooms to go, city furniture, el dorado type places tho.
