Asian, but it really depends on how long you need the car to run for and whether or not you've got the budget for things like a set of brakes or tires.

Man, get you a Lexus or a Toyota and you’ll be straight. I currently have a Camry, but if anything happens to it, I’m getting a Lexus RX. Yeah, you may have to put some money into it over the next few years, but it will be less than you’d spend on a car note.

Cars last longer now than in the past. It’s ok to consider a high mileage car. For 5k you should be able to get something decent.

Just have it checked out by a mechanic before you buy it.

The make don’t really matter just research and make sure the vehicle you are getting doesn’t have any obvious red flags

Basically anything you can find these days for $5k is a good catch but I would go for

Toyota corolla
Honda civic or accord
