Amy's is an organic brand that makes frozen meals. They're delicious. Trader Joe's is cheap and offers frozen meals, fruit, and treats. Alexia makes sides like fries. Also organic. I love Annie Chun for Asian food. They're all organic. Ain't nothing wrong with cheap or frozen food.
I'm a cook. Was a vegetarian for 7 years. I was on a raw foods diet for 2 years. I've tried most trendy diets. I also play competitive soccer and train players. Feel free to ask me anything about food prep or nutrition.
Cheapest and healthiest option is making your own though. Artifical preservatives are killers when eaten frequently. You can always cook a lot of rice and pasta. Store it in your fridge and make a dish everyday with pasta or rice as a base. I can help with that.
Save the pasta water in a mason jar. Drop a bay leaf and lemon in it. Eight hours later you have stock for a soup. Drop it in a pot when you're ready. Boil it add onions and potatoes. Hand blend that bytch. You have potato soup. Want to make chowder. Add whole milk and pork of any kind.
I got recipes for days family because I cook gourmet and only use whole foods. But I grew up eating Ramen and McDonald's. I call my style ghetto gourmet.
