I have NEVER eaten such shyt in my 30+ years on this earth :scust:
Lol really fam? You realize fine dining is French and Italian food. What they eat is farmer food, which is the food of the poor. I can cook you a meal with mostly frozen ingredients and you'd think it was gourmet homie. The magic is in the preparation and presentation not the ingredient.

Chefs use frozen ingredients. Butter. Seasonal fruits and veggies. Bacon. Bread. Jams. Sauces. Stocks. I've even seen frozen wine. Cooking frozen bacon is easier than you'd think. Pork turns quickly. It's best to freeze bacon if you're not using the package within 3 days of opening it.

I could change your life with a tomato and oregano. All I need is 15 minutes and an oven. I'll shut up now before I give away all my secrets. That's all us cooks have. Our secrets!

dats my baby
I remember I was dying to try this. Finally did. I was impressed and slightly disappointed. The texture of the steak is weird. But the vegetables taste good and it's not hella salty. That lime rice with the cilantro sauce was hitting. Try making your own sauce if you have a blender. Lime juice, lots of cilantro , pine nuts or almonds, fresh garlic(or powder), olive oil(or any oil you have), and parmigiano reggiano(parmesan works too.) If you want to be fancy fire roast jalapeños and garlic. All you need is fire.
I took these pics while working:

Roasting Jalapeños (seeds in) makes them sweeter and less spicy. Gives you great color too.

Doggy, I've been to France and ive experienced fine dining there and in Poland ad Sweden. Also, they are not the only ones to be considered "fine dining". Your taste buds sound too Europeanised. Some of the best cuisine you'll have is Argentinian and Peruvian.

But you must also realize i grew up in the caribbean. We're used to FRESH thus why al always laugh at the new food crazes here when they run with sh!t like it's something new when thats all we had growing up.

But my comments were about "TV-dinners and Microwavabble dinners" as mentioned in the title. Maybe im wrong but I assumed that meant the one you get in supermarket in those little carton sh!ts. You mean to tell me im supposed to enjoy some sh!t someone cooked a few weeks ago, then froze and microwaved.
Im fine with frozen vegetables like corn and peas and ocra. But a whole coooked dinner that is frozen for weeks and then served...I'll pass:scust:

Word. I can't hate on that. You know good food. Fine dining should include more than Italian and French food. I've heard that about Argentinean food.

My clients will not eat ethnic food(name is stupid) that's properly seasoned. I had to learn to make what my customers wanted. I cook Thai, Japanese, fake Mexican, a lot of Italian, a little bit of French, Southern American, and a lot of vegetarian dishes. Lol basically white people food. You got me there.

My mom grew up on a farm. She like you laughs at how much people pay for produce and "health foods" shouldn't all food be healthy? Excuse me for not asking where you're from before jumping down your throat.

I work around a lot of food snobs who judge people because of the food they eat. It strikes a nerve with me because people eat what they can afford for the most part. Not everyone can easily access fresh foods or knows how to prepare them. Take it easy on the frozen food crowd. They'll come with us when they realize it's cheap and easy to make delicious food.

I love Thai. Mexican food can be too heavy for me. Could never understand why americans are so into it but I guess that's the mexican influence :manny: Italian is okay but i prefer french cuisine. I used to date a vegetarian so im a big fan. Love the sh!t

Im originally from Haiti. My dad grew up on a farm too but i grew up in the city. But the thing is while agriculture is big there (at least when i grew up there) it's not as industrialized as it it here so less crops and less need to "preserve" the excess that is produced. You get just enough and it's always fresh.

I dont judge people but certain things i avoid. Either because it looks weird to me or am uncomfortable with it. Dont get me wrong i love experimenting with sh!t ive never had before. I love all sorts of ethnic foods. I always figure if it didnt kill them it wont kill me. :manny: Granted i have had some bad experiences with food poisoning before (bad fish in Costa Rica, another one in Panama) but idont let it stop me. I love food. You find me the sh!ttiest looking place that has good food and im all up in it with zero problem
