Do not do this unless you are a big people person lol. Retail used to suck. Thank God I got out of it before social media really took off. I can only imagine how bad it is now

Been in retail over 20yrs, used to work at Best Buy, loved it, however I have always been into home theater\photography\car audio, etc. You definitely have to enjoy talking/dealing with customers. Not everyone will be tech savvy so you will be explaining a lot.

A boutique luxury brand store.

Use to work at the Chanel store on 67th and Madison. We averaged less than 20 customers a day

I understand OP. I did an office job before and hated it. I can't be around only coworkers all day. shyt legit fukked with me lol

I switched to a customer facing job where I'm talking to them 24/7, and it was awesome. I absolutely LOVE talking to customers/clients


Only do it if you love talking to customers and solving their problems

I worked at NAPA briefly and it was super chill. Most customers were old head backyard mechanics or repair shops.

Never got into it with a customer there.

You just got to scan your badge every once in awhile to reset the register or when the customer is buying alcohol or cough medicine
