It’s an idiotic thing to say but look at who said it in the first place: people who don’t know what they’re talking about.

The biggest pro to me is that people are finally criticizing their government and asking for transparency on a whole host of issues that people used to brush aside. The levels of political engagement, IMO, are at their highest in my lifetime. The "openly" corrupt Trump admin is finally opening peoples eyes to what every single administrator before it did and got away with.

Two things:
1. You can win even when the establishment of a party is vehemently against you.
2. You can challenge previously held orthodoxies and the sky won't fall. How many times were people seeking to end militarism told that meeting with X president without preconditions is unthinkable. This chimp meets with Kim for a photo Op and the world doesn't end.
