It seems like a pretty chill job. Plus u can make money on the side hooking up illegal cable, stealing wedding rings and watches out of jewelry boxes :leon:, etc. Is college required to be one?

Some sort of technical training is required, yes.

At least for the field positions anyway.

I used to be a cable guy back k in the day. All u need is a clean driving record, No fear of heights, and be strong enough to carry a big ass ladder all day. If u got all that they can train u the rest

What exactly are u doing up there though? Is shyt numbered and labeled to make shyt easy? Or are u up there soldering wires together? :ld:

No soldering or anything like that,. Maybe that may be the case If u install for commercial businesses or something, but for residential installs u just need a 7/16s wrench to work with the wiring on the poles. Sometimes the wires are well labeled, sierra not, But they gave me a tool called a "whistler "... Basically you attach one price to a end of a wire and with the other price u hook It up to a other end of a wire, and If It's the same wire It makes a whistle Sound, sometimes slot of trial and error

I could of got a job at at&t as a premise tech.Working 10 hour shifts,Climbing poles and going in filthy attics for 11.50 an hour to start :camby:
