I've personally done that and still get notified when that poster negs me It doesn't stop that notification.

That's not always true. I get negs from people who I haven't interacted with in months. But like you said a 10 point deduction from a useless internet point system won't ruin anyone's day.

not much you can do but look the other way, or get a neg train ran on them. hell some people take it so far as to even neg accounts that are banned on here

there's no rules regarding that. The frequency of being able to be negged is so low. you should be able to ignore a single notification from them every one in awhile. if not, turn off your rep notifications.

I wish that ignoring the person meant that you wouldn't get alerted when they neg you. I just don't want to be reminded of the person's existence period.
