What are your experiences working in a female dominated environment?

I'm a manager and my WHOLE team is women (and so was my last team too). Someone else hit the nail on the head in the fat woman / Healthism thread, (and forgive my generalisation, ladies) but when you have to tell a women about something she has done wrong or a mistake she has made, she will complain about the WAY it is said and divert and deflect the issue back. I guess it is a defence mechanism but it is an absolutely insane way of thinking and working.
Also, men generally understand heirachy and where they stand in a room full of men (I can bet every man on this site has seen at least 1 fool who didn't and can tell you exactly what happened to him) but all women will hate on each other on an extremely subtle level.
I've said my 2 cents and now I'll just wait

My first "major" job was in a office with 98% women. It was good and bad.

Bad's pretty obvious: Periods sync so you have mood waves throughout the month, lots of gossip, lots of "bring a dish" type events

Good was I was single and got around
