Would you rather live in 1991 or 2019?

This thread made me think of doing this. I'll start off.

CBD/Cryptocurrency Stock Revolution: I think these two will go hand in hand. CBD is already been getting very popular and people love the fact that you can take it without getting high cause it doesn't have the same level of THC. Alot of people especially thots will get on this wave to try and appear health conscious and say that weed is getting too generic and CBD is alot healthier(which it is). It will be also show promising fixes for those who have severe drug addiction

Many companies have also been infusing CBD into edibles and other products. Now as far as Cryptocurrency, various CEOs, celebs, organizations have invested into it and the cryptocurrency movement in general. People will want to hide their activities more especially if purchasing things like CBD.

Sex Dolls/Sex Doll Brothels start monopolizing the sex industry while the war on sex trafficking is in full force. More IG thots get into doing scenes for porn streaming sites. Free porn sites today will in a couple years will start being charged so the government can get extra money.

Pimps get locked up nationwide. Makes the 60 year old pimp culture go out of popularity and style. More women being independent makes the game more popular.

Electric Cars will start popping up all over the road by the middle of the decade and many apps will start having Self Driving Trucks do business. Uber will work with getting drones to delivery products.

Kamala Harris gets obliterated by Trump in the electoral college. Meanstream media realizes they took the ADOS movement for granted and decide to throw their Black operatives under the bus. Joy Reid/Angela Rye become the new Donna Brazile when it comes to being pissed after they got fired after years of shilling. They and others like them that were with the DNC will start exposing secrets and a Civil War starts in the party.

In 2024, Cuomo is the Democratic nominee and runs his progressive policies in New York against a Republican nominee who will be a conservative white woman

Kim Kardashian runs for Governor of California

Instagram joins with Facebook and it makes it easier to find out someone's government name on their app

America finally legalizes recreational marijuana. Republicans in the Senate sign a bill that Democrats in the House had passed long before but sign it right before the election to make Trump win.

America finally updates their shytty ass train system to attempt to be a bit more like Japan

The fall-out of the 2020 election and people getting fired, leads to other blogs/sites to be shut down. ADOS start to get a political and media revolution where they get their own voices in those departments. ShadeRoom would have been shut down because of their Trump criticism or talking too much about politics when 2020 season comes along. People forget this but they almost got shutdown in 2017 for talking about politics.

Next wave in music will be mainly Southern Soul music...many women who come from areas like Alabama, Louisiana, etc. Chicago goes through a jazz revolution mixed with conscious rap. Current rap falls off. The Hip Hop Police becomes nationwide and when more rappers die from drug use(Lil Wayne), the media pushes extra heavy with an anti rap campaign

NBA will start scouting from the African Basketball League that Obama helped support. The NBA starts doing it on a regular basis because the African players will be fine with less money and also will believe they are less likely to speak out when things happen because they may fear going back. This by process forces more brothers in America to focus less on basketball and start getting into STEM/entrepreneurship/etc

Even with the FEDS and state governments now legalizing weed because their white kids are on opioids it will be too late for alot of white youth or the white community. More white men and white women in coming years will die from the pills and alcohol....especially white women. we talk all the time of the similarities of crack in the 80s and 90s and how it affected the black community vs how pills in the 2000s and 2010s effected the white community in terms of how the police and law treated them but forget to mention other things such as how it affected family....these same white people like Black people did in the decades prior, will start either having single parent homes or no parents all together. More white kids in foster homes or on the street robbing and committing crimes and being a "product of their environment " :troll:

Eco-Apartheid

___

The real climate danger is that a vicious right-wing minority will impose an order that privileges the affluent few over everyone else.

I’ll leave the science to Michael Mann, who lays it out on his Facebook page. Yes, obviously, absent any real action to reduce emissions we’re fukked. BUT: That is not going to happen. The actually realistic danger zone is a combination of too little decarbonization, too late, in the context of hardening inequalities of class, race, and gender  —  in short, eco-apartheid. Those brutal inequalities, and the bullets that maintain them  —  not molecules of methane  —  are what will kill people.

And that climate violence would not come because of an absence of emissions reductions. It is fully compatible with a huge reduction of emissions. Though of course, the less we slash emissions through a broad program of egalitarian economic intervention (or “democratic ecologies”), the more violence there is likely to be.

What’s more, eco collapse won’t come from unabated warming because there is zero change of us hitting 4 degrees C absent a massive  —  and potentially horrifying, but also potentially life-saving  —  series of efforts at geo-engineering. A single poor country could pump the atmosphere full of sulfur, blocking much sunlight. That would be hugely dangerous. It’s also conceivable that sunlight could be dimmer for five years to buy us time to zero out carbon. We should do everything possible to keep from going there; that doesn’t mean it won’t happen.

I don’t support geo-engineering or eco-apartheid. But those are the most probable nightmares. And the former might, in the context of a very brief and targeted and clever intervention, help prevent the latter. (Though, as is clear from everything I’ve said or written, I support the crushing consensus of all good-willed people that we should go all in for decarbonization incredibly hard and fast.)

The word capitalism appears four times in this many-thousand-word piece. Ostensibly a discussion of what humans are doing to themselves, it instead fetishizes a convenient slice of the natural science, combined with a digest of the thinner and less critical strand of climate social science.

Is it true that virtually everyone grossly understates the dangers posed by climate change? Yes. But is the gravest threat pure runaway climate change? No: it’s too little, too late, plus race and class war, plus experiments with the planet. It’s the danger, essentially, of a vicious right-wing minority imposing the privilege of the affluent few over everyone else. That’s the real and scary (and political) story.

When climate politics meets the aspirations of the global majority through “democratic ecologies,” we can fight off eco-apartheid and decarbonize prosperity.

And it follows from that that the solution isn’t a better grasp of the science. It’s political campaigns that foreground equality and prosperity and hope. Apologies for the self-quotation, but I’ve just written on this subject:

No matter what the earth system’s tipping points ultimately are, every fraction of a degree of warming that we avoid means saving millions of lives  —  people who could play in the cities where, we hope, we’ll have killed the patriarchy dead. Every inch of sea level rise that we avert keeps that much more of New York —   and Miami, and Shanghai, and Dhaka, and Ho Chi Minh City  —  from crumbling. Each extra ton of fossil fuel that we keep in the ground means more homes near water’s edge will stay upright. Each unit of energy that we never use, because we organize our cities more fairly and efficiently, buys us time to build smarter infrastructure, cleaner energy. And as we race to stay safe, the fight against racism becomes a fight against eco-apartheid.

Every bit of victory is worth winning. That’s how I see Antonio Gramsci’s “war of position” in the twenty-first-century: carbon trench war. From each dug-in position, the chance for a sudden surge forward. We don’t know when that moment comes. But we fight stubbornly until it does, so that we’re ready. To keep up our spirits, we share stories: about flashes of heroism and about long uncertain living, about liquid dangers and warm pleasures.

:mjlit:all this does is just further strengthen the case for socialism (with possibly billions dying in the current continuation:mjcry:) and if you are bothered by Democratic "Socialism" then wait till you hear of the other forms that are slowly gaining traction

:ehh:also, Lebron James will be retired for a few years and either buy a team or coach for the Lakers

2020 gonna have Trump's former supporters from the Midwest turn on him and roast him in the general election. In fact, closer to election day, Trump will give up on the Midwest altogether cause he took away too many jobs away from them.

Thot rap will increase as the economy crumbles. And more of these lazy women will want men to cash app them. At the same time, the incel population will mobilize and become a domestic terrorist group that shuts down many businesses and establishments. Pretty much, turning many parts of America into a violent 3rd world country.

Some of these newssources need to start being like the Vox website and explain things in more simpler terms

Oh and you reminded me...Lebron James JR will be drafted in the first round by the Knicks. NY Basketball fans will lose their minds

I feel like every post by you is an obsession with telling us for the 1000th time that Trump is gonna lose badly or talking about thot rap and how lazy women are. Every single post breh. Come on stop. Every post? "And more of these lazy women will want men to cash app them"? This the best you can do breh?

5G is going to change the world.

Might be shaky at 1st, but buy the mid 2020's, shyt gonna be real.

I certainly hope so. I'm tired of it feeling like each generation reaches a placebo and it seems like nothing changes. It feels like we just playing a new pokemon game over and over with the same start and end.

5G better be worth it

Also people will finally focus on making the 2020s an era of individuality and not obsess over focusing about 1990s nostalgia like we been doing for like 10 years
