I can see if it’s a dangerous country, but they shouldn’t limit themselves because they are waiting for someone to go with them. Solo trips can be very good for your well being.

solo travel is the goat

It really is.

Nobody pestering you to do dumb shyt. Like, "We gotta get up at 4 to be downstairs in the lobby by 5 to catch the three hour bus ride to the attraction where we'll take pictures of some really old shyt. The bus ride is $125 per person plus another $55 for the lunch that's provided for us. Also bring extra cash to tip the tour guide. It's also recommended that you wear long sleeves and pants, as there's a lot of mosquitos there due to the extreme humidity."

Solo travel is really the best way to go.

It's not dangerous. If you're traveling as a US citizen abroad you're good money. Literally. Most people travel to tourist traps and beaches. Now if you're going through the slums in some random Brazilian city that's different, but that isn't what the vast majority of people do.

Why would it be dangerous in...Paris? London? Sydney? Or whatever South American beach you want to visit that's full of tourists and has a police presence lol. Traveling is safe, and good.
