I watched Space Jam in theaters years before I ever watched basketball but I guess that counts.

I remember catching a random Mets game on tv where Mo Vaughn hit a big ass HR and that apple came up. Got me hype as fukk.

I remember one of those "I'm going to disneyland" commercials with I think Kurt Warner.

Add on. Can be a game, a specific sequence you remember vividly, a poster or magazine cover, etc.

1997 Charles Woodson. The interception vs Michigan State. Dominating OSU. Winning the Heisman. Then winning the National Championship.

Like personal or professional?

For me, my first memory was playing soccer in the local league and having my live-in house keeper and babysitter telling at the top of her lungs to cheer me on, lol.

Professional, I remember going to an NBA game with my mom. But I don't remember what teams. Maybe I've was the Orlando magic?
It it might have been just saying with other kids in school about the devil's, rangers and Islanders. That was fun, right around 1995 when the devil's and rangers were both really good

1992 summer Olympics.
Probably my first sports memory is that of a Mets game on tv in the 1980s.

But I remember the 1992 Olympics and it was a HUGE deal. Everybody was talking about it.

The Dream Team was obviously the biggest thing but I think in those days the Olympics was a bigger deal because we didn’t have all these other distractions. No social media or much internet. Sports coverage was kind of concentrated so big events got a lot of attention.

I’m getting off topic but between the 1992 Olympics, the 1994 Winter Olympics, the 1994 World Cup, the 1996 Olympics…man that was an amazing time.

Me and my dad went to those 96 Olympics in Atlanta. I was so hype as a kid.

I was there when Michael Johnson won the 200m and saw the women bball team win gold.

Me my dad and his cousin were supposed to go the James Brown concert but I was tripping crying cuz I wanted to stay at the crib and play Sega. So they said fukk and stayed home.

Next morning it's all over the news about the bombing

I been said if I was a TV producer I'd make a docuseries about how the 90's created the modern era of sport:

Fall of the Eastern Bloc and the integration of their athletes into pro sports- Football, Basketball, Tennis, Hockery, fighting etc

Dream Team/94 MLB strike and Pro Basketball blowing up into a cultural phenomenon

Michael Jackson doing the Super Bowl halftime show and Super Bowl Sunday becoming a huge spectacle

Start of the Premier League/Back pass rule/Bosman ruling/94 World Cup introducing the game to the USA/99 Womens world cup

earliest is a vague memory of watching the Knicks and Rockets finals game that got interrupted by the OJ chase...I had no idea what was going on.

most vivid is watching the Cowboys and Steelers super bowl on my bday and losing it when Deion caught a 40 yrd pass
