Box Cutta
Bumbling Sidekick
It will never reach that level.
Hell..boxing/UFC are unlikely to reach that level again for a very long time. (Boxing needs some compelling heavies..I don't know enough about UFC to be able to tell why they appear to have a ceiling, maybe it just needs to be around longer?)
This shyt was historical...people waited years for it..two all time greats...two very opposing styles and personalities...some racist even tried to make it about "Good Versus Evil"..Mayweather/Pacman was a once in a generation type of thing.
However, can there still be giant, mainstream appeal, WWE matches? Sure. Not as big as this, but there can be huge ones.
It would take a combination of many things (No particular order) :
1) It will have to be during a boom period. Wrestling is niche right now.
2) Would have to be a result of good storytelling.
3) Two guys with massive star-power, that haven't fought before, and that are relatively fresh.
A bunch of other shyt....
Right now the biggest match would probably be Brock/Rock. Even that would be dampened by the fact that they've wrestled before and the fact that both guys are already kinda cemented in the culture. Both bring in some mainstream coverage but I kinda feel like there is nothing "new" with that match. And considering that both would be part-time and satellite, storytelling/feuding would be kinda weak as well.

. People got suckered in with all the hype and publicity it got. When you really look at this match it has a lot of parallels to what we see in wrestling. nikkas cutting promos on each other, extravagant entrances occupied by celebrities, pac being played up as the face, and Mayweather being played up as the typical over confident heel. Sounds like WWE to me.
). I don't know if Vince has the patience or capability anymore to 'make' someone who is bigger than the business, without getting bored at some point and burying them for his own amusement.
