i can't speak for you, but speaking for me i hope to get a different president in 2020.... i can promise you this, trump is a shoo-in for reelection if dems don't take back the house, expand governorship ranks, and take back some state houses.... the first step in thwarting trump's reelection is getting dems elected in key places ahead of 2020....

Before the Republicans controlled the Senate, they controlled Congress for more than 5 years. In those years those Republican congressman proposed a series of dumb ass legislation that was not going to get looked at in the upper house. The democrats should return the favor. I can go for an investigation about the soldiers who died.

If the Dems take the House, Trump's legislative agenda is over. Also expect investigations into Trump corruption and subpoenas out the ass. Including a subpoena for Trump's tax returns by Maxine Waters, who I'm pretty sure would become chair of the Finance committee.

As others have every said, it would largely stifle Trump’s agenda. Part of the reason Obama go so little find was because every important thing he wanted done was DOA in the House. Same concept.

Obstructing the Trump agenda would be nice for the time being but Dems would need to take the Senate and hopefully the Presidency in 2020 to achieve a true victory. I don't think the Dem base would be inspired by a message of indefinite obstruction. They are going to have to be on message about what they can do for their base if they get the keys to kingdom In 2020.
INvestigatations for one. No more hiding info from the public in committees. But, the Mueller investigation is wrapping up so it'll probably just be piling on. But having the House under Dems will keep Repbulicans from buring the Mueller report.
Trump will go through an insane amount of investigations about his taxes, Russian connections, real estate dealings etc. But the two most important things that will happen over the next two years are
-The health of Ruth Ginsberg
-How will Trump use these investigations to rally his base.
Trump best friend right now is the US economy. The economy continues to add jobs (Thanks Obama). No president has ever lost an election with an economy going this strongly before (again this cac should be thanking Barack Obama everyday for this).
