I got my mom's empathy and my father's cold calculating. It sounds like those are opposites, and they kind of are, but life is about balance and i thank them for those. I was real reckless with it when i was younger, reading people and calculating them at the same time.

Mom: calmness, listening skills, empathic attitude
Pops: determination, work ethic, sense of humor, problem solving skills... Closer to my mom when I was younger, lean closer to my pops as I got older.

Dad: Insight, Straightforwardness (so much so that when i tell someone off my mother says thats who im acting like ), Good Listener, Great at giving advice, Talent,(over)- Protectiveness, Consciousness, Non-conformist (lol), Stubbornness (according to my mom)

The majority of things in the artistic aspect i take from my pops. (my father still dislike the fact i write rhymes....even though he use to write my moms poetry back in the day.......he actually burn one of my notebook back in the day cuz i was completely disrespect)

Who in my family im closer to?

It would've been my grandmoms, mother then my father. My grandmoms no longer here in the physical but we were real tight. Im the baby boy so she somewhat spoiled my little ass, always would get out of middle school (at the time) and hang out at her crib. Crazy, she use to tell me all these stories about Civil Rights Movement,etc. (probably where my consciousness from my father comes from).while i would sit indian style and eat graham cracker cookies and drink Yoo-Hoo Rest In Paradise to the both of them

Me and my moms are trump tight, still kick it at her house on Sunday (the Sunday Dinner Thing), always can call my moms and get advice (even if i dont want to hear it)

Me and my father are like day and night but like brothers. we dont always agree on shyt and at times it turn verbal where we dont speak to one another for days. but when we do its all love. He actually wants me to be a lawyer....blame my stubbornness for not wanting to comply to his suggestion.

both of my folks raised me around lots and lots of different types of music so I got that from them too.
