SMF and LAX to VA and NC
All cities have versions of the same stories. New York is the most prominent and well known because it's been the largest city here since the 17th century, so it receives a level of attention no one else gets...

The street stories out of NY are not particularly unique, these same stories are everywhere and anyone who has ever run the streets in more than one place would know this...

After NY I would say LA and Chi interchangeably are in the public consciousness because just like NY, they are the second and third largest cities here. More people have lived in these cities so more stories are able to be captured. I will say anyone minimizing LA's street culture to gangbanging only has no clue what they are talking about, Black Angelenos were involved in the LA underworld before Bloods and Crips existed and if we gonna do the same thing we do with NY and include non-black and corporate crime, any assumptions LA street scene is only about banging is way outta the box...

After the American Big 3, everyone else's "street fame" is pretty negligible on a national scale. If you grew up closer to the Twin Cities you'd know more about that culture, if you grew up in Arkansas you'd probably know more about the reputations of Texas and Louisiana cities. Other large cities like Houston, Miami, Atlanta, Philly, DC, Baltimore, The Bay, Bostonand maybe a handful of others are semi-known nationally but not to the extent of The Big 3. Smaller cities with a touch of national notice like New Orleans and St Louis are somewhat known but it's really The Big 3 and everyone else in national street lore...

But I want to stress the same things that happened and are happening in The Big 3 go on everywhere else. The larger cities are normally ahead of the trends but everything eventually trickles down across America, everybody has their moments...

The most gangsta thing you can do is spread your culture elsewhere. Cities that have reputations for getting money in other people's cities are the most gangsta places around...
