Mike Brown was the escape goat. We all know Kobe (me) Bryant was the real reason lakers sucked

He was 42-29 as the lakers coach and won a playoff series. They did him dirty by not hiring Phil to replace him.

Overall
Mike B.=.653 win% + a finals appearance
Mike D.=.533 win%

Wizards should give him a look in the offseason

Yung, that's exactly where he shoulda been coaching all along. fukk the Lakers hiring him, he shoulda been building his experience and resume on a shytty team like the wizards. Get them young nikkaz to play defense n shyt. Maybe after a few elite seasons with the Wiz he woulda been GOAT franchise material, maybe.

He wasn't a bad coach with you all though, he was the best coach not named Phil or Sloan. He coached a poor team with a megastar to the finals in Cleveland and earned his stripes as an p and coming great coach. I will say I am surprised he hasn't been picked up by now, McMillan and Sloan too.

He wasn't the right coach for LA, you need somebody that can coach both ends of the floor and deal with the pressure of the town and the superstars. shyt trill.

If he went to a bad Wizards squad and built them into a contender, that woulda gave him more experience and more cache in regards to the type of coach he was. If he worked on his own craft and became a better offensive coach imagine how much better he'd be for the Laker job.

Mike Brown should be happy he got fired breh. Now they can't can't say it was "the nikka's" fault...plus he still got paid. This isn't a conversion worth having because neither of them should've been our coach.

To be honest, only a few coaches can handle coaching someone as polarizing in a team setting as Kobe.

Pop
Doc
Phil
Adelman
Rudy T
Riley
Larry Brown
Chuck Daly
Bird

Most of these dudes are not even coaching in the league. With Kobe its a respect issue. Lebron is one of those guys that can turn an average coach good and a good coach into a great one. Because he is a team ball player and naturally promotes team good chemistry.

Lakers might be able to stick with D'Antoni as coach next year because for the first time Kobe has to go into a season relying on his teammates to bring him a long as he tries to get to where he needs to be and he can pick his spots. Kobe might come back as a better team player which is good in the long run.

:rudy: How many games did Mike Brown coach for the Lakers before he was fired? Miss me with that talk. Mike Brown coached for a while at Cleveland with less talent than the Lakers. Spo was on the hot seat, not by the Heat organization but by cynical people who hated the Heat. Spo went from film guy to a championship coach in a few years. Kobe couldn't do that with a guy who had been to the finals before.
