He also co-produced most of the record and lead biggie into being a COMPLETE ARTIST. You guys think that Puffy doesn't produce songs, but the man at that time was involved in every single project bad boy was releasing. Biggie was going on the uncle murda, papoose way until puff got his hand in him and steered him to the direction of doing HOT RECORDS first before anything if he wanted to take it to the next level or just be that mixtape rapper. He was Phill Jackson to his Jordan.

From the intrusive adlibs in the albums.. and unwarranted cameos in Bad Boy videos...
to his, alleged, role in setting up Pac... and, allegedly, gassing up BIG in LA..
to fukking over the lox...fukking over shyne...etc.
