The pandemic has certainly made it apparent to me that many people would rather put their own luxuries and desires over the safety of others. People being selfish isn't a new concept to me at all, but to see it all play out in real time to a large degree really surprised me. That and just how easily people are manipulated by others who have no idea what they're talking about. You would think that with the Internet being as easily accessible as it currently is, you wouldn't have those problems. And yet, ignorance is so commonplace to where you've got a bunch of hillbillies willing to stage an insurrection because a con man told them the election was stolen.
Masks are somehow seen as a way to force compliance, even though many countries have worn masks casually and they're doing just fine. Social distancing is seen as "inhumane", apparently. And vaccines supposedly change people's DNA, even though there's zero evidence to even prove this. That hasn't stopped people though, they'll believe whatever they want, because they've already made the decision to believe it in their minds. I'm not cynical when it comes to humanity, but boy, a lot of people are really dumb.
I've always been clean, but even when the pandemic is controlled and people can congregate again, I'm still taking measures to keep myself safe. If folks can argue in favor of not washing their hands after they leave the bathroom (

), I can't even guess what the mentality will be once a lot of things calm down.
