What do most super heroes do to earn a living?

I know Superman and Spiderman work in the newspaper industry and guys like Iron Man and Batman are billionares who inherited money and run enterprises...and some are on government payroll like with shield but how does someone like Wolverine make money...these people gotta eat and buy beer and stuff

and if they had a career job where would they have time or incentive to fight crime...If I had superpowers first of all i'd be some sort of pro athlete at least and if that wasn't allowed i'd have to go and be some sort of accountant where in the world would I have time to fight super villains and why would I risk it if I wasn't getting paid for it?

Yeah, all the senior staff x-men are also teachers at Prof. X's school, so I'm sure they get a salary of some sort. And Professor X is rich himself.
