As a producer what do ya'll think yall need to improve on?

for me I need to improve on my drum patterns....I can chop samples like nothing but when it comes to making drum pattens my skills are lacking in that department....I have so many beats unfinished because I can't get an ill drum pattern down to finish it

I find making drumpatterns the easiest and most fun part of making a beat.

I need to improve my mixing skills still. But i'm a lot better than 2 years ago.

I tend to stay in my comfort zone and don't really experiment to much, to be honest though I have so little free time I'd rather spend it making beats I know I'm at least good at....
My bass game needs work, I always struggle with that shyt and lastly I normally end up with shytloads of unfinished tracks.

When I did make beats, it was always the drum patterns that gave me the most trouble. shyt was annoying when it came to that part. I'll go ham with the melody part, but when it came to the drums a young Shutter would get stuck.

It kinda crossed over to the emceeing aspect, because when I listen to a beat it's usually the melody and vibe that gets my attention first.

Real talk....been making beats for a few years and I'm still not good with patterns man.... Had this ill ass loop loaded up last night but I'm fukking stuck on the drum patterns....everything I made for it sounds wack....might be over thinking smh

Not overpowering the artist. Another one is dealing with cognitive dissonance when I'm working with somebody that is obviously wack... It's funny and sad at the same time.

It's easy man. You probably just need better drumsounds.
