They always coming out with a new list every other month. They only include commercial rappers for the most part. You mean to tell me Buckshot can’t get a spot? He been apart of classic albums got a respectable discography. One of the best from Brooklyn can never get a mention? Those list aren’t to be taken serious.

all time lists are things websites, magazines, and content creators make to get views and people visiting their sites. It's all subjective and sometimes they are straight up trolling to get people talking and responding to them. If you are responding to them, you are creating traffic for their shytty channels/websites. If you ignore trolls, they will no longer matter.

They pander like a mf. Missy Elliot and Future making a top 10 all time is purely pandering. When they tryhard to appeal to everyone, they appeal to no one

That's the biggest problem with these lists. There's no real criteria
It's like when there is nothing going on in music or the media, someone comes out with a top 10 list and then has 1 or 2 people in the top 10 that everyone is like "wtf???". And then the traffic and nonstop talk about it occurs for the next 3 weeks. And this is not just pertaining to these silly little lists, but books as well. Anyone can write a book now, but far too many are writing books(it can be about sports, music, or whatever) and not doing the proper research on a topic. I'm on several boxing panels online and sometimes we have guys saying that because they haven't heard of a certain fighter, that fighter can't be considered great because it's not interesting to them. THESE ARE OUR FUTURE AUTHORS!!!!!!! On these same panels, a 20 year old said that KRS and Rakim can't be considered all time greats because he hadn't heard of them. I just simply said, "ok, you win...."

The omission of rappers like Redman, Black Thought, Ghostface, and Kool G Rap on these many of these lists is criminal.

But I understand their rationale behind it. They're applying mainstream rules to hip hop.

Redman first 3 albums is classic. They put these list out and the average fan take it for face value. Who made them the authority on the culture?

You saying commercial rapper make up majority of the list? Or is it rappers that’s willing to “play the game”?

There isn't a list with Missy or Future in a Top 10 and even if they were, what does it really mean?

We've gone through how many eras of Hip Hop and how many of these lists have dictated where the culture was at or where it was going? Not a single one of them because people look at these lists and they only hold credibility if the individual viewing it agrees with the list. If someone wants to argue that Future is Top 10, I could give them a bunch of reasons why he's not. It's not going to stop them from thinking it. My opinion is no more valid than theirs.
