what will these 2 generations be known for. When people think of "Baby Boomers" they think of, Disco, Funk, Hippies, Bell Bottoms, Woodstock, American Bandstand, Soul Train, Saturday Night Fever, Happy Days, Taxi, Jackson 5, Donna Summer, Bee Gees, Stevie Wonder, Led Zeppelin Prince, Madonna, MJ, Sugar Hill Gang etc.

or

with Gen X, you think of, Hair Metal, Guns N Rose, Metallica, MTV, Grunge, Nirvana, Pearl am, Wayne's World, NWA, 2Pac, Biggie, Snoop, Dr.Dre, ATCQ, MTV, AIDS, OJ Simpson, Michael Jordan, Whitney, MJ, Janet, Madonna, TLC, En Vogue, Boyz II Men, Jodeci, Gangsta Rap, New Jack Swing, Hip-Hop Soul, etc.

As of right now, I think Gen Y will be known for Backstreet Boys, N'Sync, Britney Spears, Mandy Moore, Christina Aguilera, Monica, Brandy, Aaliyah and her death, Destiny's child, B2K, Bow Wow,Jay-Z, Nelly, Lil Wayne, Kanye, Throwback Jerseys, Kobe scandal, Bush, War, 9/11, EMD, Mainstream Hip Hop, Jay and Bey union, Atlanta takeover, Teen Pop, Nu Metal, Mean Girls, Harry Potter, EMO, Auto Tune, Technology.

Right now, this period is coming of age for late Y and Z(I'm a late Y nikka from 94, somewhere borderline)

Boomers are old, Gen X are Middle Age, and Gen Y are little past their or almost past their prime.
Let me know if I'm wrong?

Sad.

The last generation that stood for something while having non Blacks in fear were the Black Panther Party during the civil rights era.now we have just a watered down metro sexual generation standing for nothing. The FBI dont fear us like they did our forefathers.them crackers were having nightmares of Huey P Newton or Fred Hampton senior hunting them down where they lay their heads.
.
each generation should define its self instead of living on legacy of the predecessors.

Until these pigs FEAR patrolling our neighborhoods black people will not get any respect.

Mostly the concept is that Gen Y as of right now, will be the Generation... the saw the before and after of 9/11 fully; anyone who was like 6-7, wouldn't fully understand a world before 9/11. Not to mention that it was a generation that saw a vast improvement in technology. It also witness a inflation of EVERYONE going to college. That being said, while they were known for becoming most liberal on policies; weed, gay marriage, woman's rights... they were viewed heavily as being watched by their helicoptered parents. Alot of kids default, or cannot pay student loans and are in debt with shytty no jobs.

Gen Z will be more of the same. Except They will live in a post 9/11 world. They are also very sheltered where everyone gets a participation ribbon; they never learned the concept of losing, and how to improve. Also while there are some grounded good people, there are also the concept that you either become a youtube celeb or you live in the struggle. Not to mention that they will be living in a world where robots produce more than human labor, so the struggle is harder as college tuition becomes higher. On the bright side by then the populous will be more diverse.
