I know this is a long thread but EA gave me 10 years to think  I haven't even played UFC 4 yet so maybe some of my thoughts have already become a reality.

Interested in what you guys would like to see as well :jbhmm:

For Fight Night:

- Some Type of Promoter Mode.
- Step Back Counter Be A Little Less Easy To Spam.
- Make Overalls More Accurate Cause Some Were :childplease: (Liston & Foreman got it the worst).
- Classic Venues (80's Caesars, 1908 Sydney Stadium, '38 Yankee Stadium, '74 Zaire, 50's Chicago Stadium)
- Fighters actually get knocked down the rankings in Legacy Mode when you defend your belts against them so you don't keep fighting the same 5 dudes until they each retire.
- More Fighters @ The Lower Weight Classes (Kid Chocolate, LaBarba, Pep, Saddler, Olivares, Sanchez, etc.)
- More Fighters @ LHW (Ward, Moore, Foster, Spinks, Conn, etc.) There would obv be current fighters included so I'm just harping on some that were left out last time that could've been in it back then.

For UFC:

- They have a ton of lifetime image rights (as far as I know) & dead promotions at their disposal, use that shyt :stopitslime:

- Could have a lot more legends that were in previous games as their prime incarnations. Get Bas, Randleman, PRIDE Gomi, 2000's BJ Penn, Frye, '96 Coleman (not '09 who was actually LHW) in there.
- Ability to hop around PRIDE, WEC, & Strikeforce in Career Mode (or even just the venues/rosters)
- There have been games in the past where guys who were champions at the time of release weren't even in the game :mjtf: let's at least get 15 fighters who were ranked top 15 within the past year in each division (it's not possible to keep it current to the exact rankings at time of release but this would keep it close to current).
- Have Guys Retire In Career Mode So We're Not Fighting 67 Year Old Daniel Cormier For The 8th Time.
- Classic 90's UFC Arena (why not throw in Tank Abbott as a pre-order exclusive too:pachaha:) & Marvel Stadium.
- Gameplay be a little more fast-paced like Undisputed series.

this and champions retiring before you get your ranking up was the worst
maybe randomize who the top 5 is when you start your career, so all the HOFers you actually want to fight aren't retired or :flabbynsick: by the time you get there
that would make early fights more interesting too if good fighters were also prospects, forcing you to basically duck and marinate certain fights like in real life

I usually customize the rankings beforehand and put older fighters like Wlad & Holyfield at the mid-lower end so I could fight them before they retire or get flabby.

For Fight Night a definite promoter mode. More depth to career mode to make it not seem so monotonous.
Start with a higher overall and only make it so certain stats really fluctuate. Most fighters with fast hand speed or explosive power demonstrate that from day 1 so have those in place at start of career. Have stats like stamina be built up as a fighter gains experience.

As others said have a better utilization of existing boxers. Change the timing so that when your created fighter reaches championship level the other fighters are only slightly older. Also have them start their careers at different points so that when a created boxer finally reaches championship level some of the pre-existing fighters are just on the come up.

Make money mean something. Force users to spend money on weight trainers, dieticians, sparring partners and have the benefits gained be tied to money spent.

Have promoters mean more. Have it so you have the ability to sign contracts with different promoters with different incentives. One may offer more money but it freezes you out of a chance for belts or big fights. Another may take a bigger chunk of your paycheck but provide you exposure faster and a chance to gain a bigger name and fights. One may offer a longer contract for less money.

I'd like to see different fight styles having different vulnerabilities and things to watch out for. To go with that better scouting reports to know what punches to avoid and which openings might appear..

Fight night, the ability to punch and step back, step laterally, proper duck etc.

To be able to jab and then block/slide/step back by holding R2 whilst moving joystick back would feel like actual fighting more.

Parry etc was cool, but it never felt like a real fight, to combine movement and real fighter speed movement would be a big step up.
